The festival is on-ground event, to be held at Best Western Plus hotel in Strongsville, Ohio (20 miles south from downtown Cleveland). The festival will host approx. 50-100 people inside hotel's event ballroom. The artists will be notified by email about event details and attendance (every Official Selection artist who attends will receive VIP Pass and GIFTS at the registration table).

Cleveland has played a lead “location role” in several high budget mainstream films in recent years. In addition to providing locations to out-of-state productions, this city has a growing independent film movement. Numerous short films and several indie (ultra low budget and micro budget) feature films are produced every year. Cleveland’s colleges offer film and media programs. Independent-friendly theaters showcase locally made shorts and features. Cleveland hosts indie cinema events every month, ranging from - networking mixers to film festivals.
Notable Independent Film Festivals and Contests in Cleveland area:
The Indie Gathering International Film Festival: for over 20 years, every August, filmmakers from around the world meet up for The Indie Gathering International Film Festival - with competitions for films, scripts, film scoring, special FX makeup, stunts/fight scenes, and acting/monologues, including film lectures/panels. Previously voted one of the Top 25 Film Festivals by MovieMaker Magazine as the Best Fest for Networking!
Short.Sweet.Film.Fest: very friendly event held in March since 2012, and showcasing films under 30 minutes to the growing art scene in the greater Cleveland area, including the works of student filmmakers across the country. Short.Sweet FF takes place in the Alex Theater at the Metropolitan at the 9 hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland.
The International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention: held every June in Northeast Ohio, features open competitions for films, scripts and music videos in the following genres: fantasy, horror, sci-fi, suspense, and more. Competitions also open for horror film scoring and FX makeup competitions. The event features four days of film screenings.
The 48 Hour Film Project: for over 10 years, filmmakers from all over the Cleveland area compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.
